I forgot my camera in July, but I did remember it in June, August, and September. I had a job for a couple of months, and it seems that may have been too much for me to keep this blog up. Thankfully, I have quit, and you may now view our show and tells from
JUNE AND AUGUST
and
SEPTEMBER
by clicking on the month's name. For June and August, note there are a couple of cathedral window photos. Judith did a great mini class on them for us.
For September, you can see the Peach Days challenge quilts all together in one photo.
For October we will be doing a Halloween exchange, so bring 16 blocks of 11 by 11, whether you want to do half square triangles, some other block, or plain fabric is up to you. See you there!

Pat Peters Trunk Show, Amazing!
Tonight we were treated to the spectacular work of Pat Peters, who hand quilts and hand appliques with amazing skill. You can see her quilts on my Flickr stream

You can see even more of Pat's work at the Utah Valley Quilt Guild's blog, linked HERE.
We also have a new block of the month, it's the bowtie on the bottom right.
Pictured below is a special quilt we are making to thank the Senior Citizens Center for letting us use their facility for such a long time:
Someone asked how she keeps her kids from stealing her quilts, and she said they have their own. But later she mentioned her husband's hobby, and I think that is the real reason no one steals her quilts: He collects guns.

February Meeting
Sadly, I forgot my camera in January, but I remembered this month, and I was rewarded.
If you want to see the two items for show and tell, click HERE. I also had one, but it is in my sewing block flickr account, so I will just paste it:
We also had some great instruction on the block of the month:
And this Arrowhead block:
I couldn't believe how easy this was to stitch and cut into all the pieces. You sew the two 8" blocks right sides together according to the diagram, and then you cut as you can see on the design board. Then piece your block, and trim it to a 9" block. Amazing, and super minimal waste!

We are looking forward to our year-end dinner next month. We will be eating at Triple TJ's, and the cost is $15. They are closing the restaurant for us, so we really appreciate that. It will be at our normal date and time, 6:00 on the second Thursday.

April. And June and August, With Many Apologies
Dear DeAnna, i.e. perhaps the sole reader of this blog, I apologize for slacking off for the entire year after the birth of my son in March. I apparently forgot my camera in May. But I have uploaded all of the pictures for all of the show and tells I shot (April, June, July, and this month), and you may now view them
HERE.
I did not crop them or pretty them in any way. I just sized them for the web and uploaded them, because I have three children now, and apparently that may just be too many this year.
Thank you for the reminder.
Love, Jen

March Show and Tell
Hello everyone. We had a great meeting this month, with Eve teaching about circular patterns, sewing a y-seam, and a few other fun techniques.
You can check out our show and tell at the flickr stream:
CLICK HERE for show and tell.
I am sorry I missed February, because I was deathly ill and couldn't make it to the meeting. You know I am very, VERY sick indeed if I can't make it to Quilt Guild.
I was lucky to make it this month, because my baby was due on the day of quilt guild. Sadly, I am STILL pregnant, four days after my due date. I guess it's not sad for the readers, because I am keeping myself busy by posting more quickly than usual!
