By the way, the Main Street Quilt Cottage is celebrating national quilting day by having a sale starting this Saturday. Go to their website and look at the calendar for details. (You have to click on an event on the calendar to see the details.)
If you know about fun sales at our local stores, email me and I'll be happy to post them. My email address is princesschamberlain AT gmail DOT com. (Put in the at at dot, I just format it that way to avoid junk emails.)

This Month's Meeting
Don't forget our meeting on Thursday this week!
Ruth sent the following:
Chenille Workshop = Materials were handed out in Feburary.
Please bring your supplies as listed. Marjorie will bring extra batting, fabric and other fill in items. She will take us to the point of sewing, so if you do not bring your machine to class you can sew and cut the last 2 steps of your potholders at home. We will stack, mark and have it ready to take home at this point. Be sure to use your walking foot to sew the Chenille. Bring some pins too.
Please bring back the instructions , if you took one, for " Thread Catcher"!!!! Evelyn will appreciate them!!! Time will be limited, busy and fun with 2 workshops going on. So come and enjoy our time together!!
You know you're a quilter if you can measure a scant 1/4" by eye !!!

Quotes
Since I forgot my memory card last month (and I'm not even over 70!) I give you a few quotes to entertain you in the meantime:
A bed without a quilt is like a sky without stars.
A day patched with quilting seldom unravels.
A quilt is a treasure which follows its owner everywhere.
Asking a quilter to mend is like asking Picasso to paint your garage.
Ask not what your fabric can do for you, but what you can do for your fabric.
Before Prozac, there was quilting.
Blankets wrap you in warmth, quilts wrap you in love.
Blessed are the children of the piecemakers for they shall inherit the quilts!
Blessed are the piecemakers.
Cooking is for those who don't know how to quilt.

We are so fortunate to have '' Wonderful Quilters/Artists" in our midst, especially in our guild.
In the Feb/March issue of "Quilters Newsletter", page 19 at top is a picture of Eve's Quilt "Christmas Stars". Please take time, if possible, to take a look.
Way to Go Eve !! We all are proud of you!!!!

The Main Street Quilt Cottage
The Main Street Quilt Cottage will be having an open house Friday and Saturday December 12th and 13th, so head on over to see the class schedule, make and takes, and some goodies.
Also, the Festival of Trees will not be needing our help this year, so perhaps next year. I believe it occurs the first weekend of December if you are interested in attending.
